A Yuma man died in a Thursday morning traffic accident.

Yuma County Sheriff's deputies responded to a traffic accident at E. County 10th Street and S. Avenue 22E shortly after 7:00 a.m. A semi-truck southbound on S. Avenue 22E collided with a GMC pickup truck westbound on E. County 10th. The pickup apparently failed to stop at the posted stop sign. The driver of the pickup, 56-year-old Jason Michael Jones of Yuma, died at the scene. The driver of the big rig sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
