The Brawley City Council was busy Tuesday evening.

The council recognized Romualdo Medina, Director of Public Works Operations and management. The council recognized his professionalism, collaborative approach, and lasting contributions to the organization and the community and extended best wished in his future endeavors. The council held a public hearing and adopted amendments to the City's Master Fee Schedule. The proposed Special Event Fee Schedule was continued to a future meeting. Council approved in concept the design of a proposed Veterans Memorial Way Arch. The project will proceed with engineering review, permitting, and coordination of maintenance responsibilities.

The council directed staff to initiate the formal process to rename Cesar Chavez Street.

Council also received an update on the Lion's Center Pool Rehabilitation Project. The project is on track and working through the final steps before reopening in the coming months.
