(Board of Supervisors Chairperson is served)....It happened at the Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday.
During the public comment period, Belen de Fajardo stepped up to the podium, Fajardo announced she was serving Peggy Price, Board Chair, with a notice of intention to recall. She said the reason for the action was because Price voted to approve a massive lot merger, paving the way for a 95,000 square-foot data center right next to their home and schools. She said Price voted for the lot merger without requiring any environmental review, and the decision was made despite objections from the residents. Price was one of 3 Supervisors who voted in favor of the lot merger, and County planners who have allowed the project to move forward, designating it as exempt from the state's mandatory Environmental Impact Report process. de Fajardo also claimed Price had residents removed from a public hearing, and she had one person arrested for speaking out against the data center project. Price offered no comments. She apparently has 7 days to respond to the intent to recall documents.
