(American Red Cross and Brawley Fire partner)....The Sound the Alarm program is January 24.
The program is a smoke alarm installation program. The American Red Cross and the Brawley Fire Department are hosting the event. From 8 am to 2 pm volunteers will be going door to door in Brawley installing smoke alarms, absolutely free. The Red Cross says smoke alarms can cut the risk of death from a home fire in half. They are currently recruiting volunteers. No experience is required. On the day of the event, volunteers will gather at the Teen Center at 220 Magnolia Street on Brawley to receive training, equipment and neighborhood maps The Red Cross will offer breakfast and lunch to the volunteers.
