(OTS awards a grant)....The grant was awarded to the Imperial County Fire Department.

The Office of Traffic Safety says they awarded the department at $20,500 grant. The funds are to be used for new Emergency response equipment. The Fire Department will use the funds to purchase new rescue struts. They are specialized rescue operations stabilization struts, used by first responders to secure and stabilize vehicles and other unstable loads, allowing crews to safely conduct rescue operations and reduce the risk of secondary movement during incidents involving traffic collisions and other emergencies.
