The National Weather Service (NWS) is expecting a more active weather pattern.

The forecast says we can expect multiple rounds of showers and embedded thunderstorms beginning Thursday and persisting into the weekend. Tropical Storm Priscilla has started to weaken but is tracking just to the west of the Baja peninsula. This should result in rain chances Thursday and increasing steadily early Friday. Expect periods of showers with occasional embedded thunderstorms through Friday night. Expected rainfall amounts are likely to range from 0.25 - 0.50 inches with localized amounts upwards of an inch if thunderstorms develop.

A second tropical storm system may attempt to move up Baja at some point Sunday into Monday, but the NWS forecast is uncertain if this second system will affect the Imperial Valley.
