Logic and accuracy testing of Imperial County voting machines begins Monday.
The testing by the Imperial County Registrar of Voters office is to ensure that all voting equipment functions properly. During the test, the voting systems vote-counting software is examined through sample ballot casting exercises to verify that votes are correctly tabulated and recorded. The test is one of two election audits conducted. After the election, a manual tally of 1 percent of all vote-by-mail and precinct ballots will be completed to confirm accuracy. The next election is a Statewide Special Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
