( GMC Sierra was found in a drainage ditch).....The California Highway Patrol says it was reported at just after 10 Monday night.
An officer arrived at Wills and Shank Road and found the electric vehicle on fire. CHP and Brawley PD were on scene and attempted to extinguish the fire. The fire repeatedly reignited. The fire was out by 12:30 am, but the battery was still smoldering. The incident was monitored until late Tuesday morning, when the all- clear was given. The Imperial Irrigation District was notified what had happened in their ditch. The vehicle was completely burned. Officials say they will investigate to determine if the vehicle had been stolen.
