A single vehicle rollover accident blocked Interstate 8 for a while Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 2:24 p.m. Thursday on eastbound Interstate 8 near the Dunaway Road off ramp when a minivan rolled over and came to rest on its side. Two people in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. Traffic backed up as other vehicles stopped to render assistance. The eastbound lanes were shut down for a time for emergency crews to work at the scene. Normal traffic flow resumed shortly after 5:00 p.m.
