(Public Hearing lasts over 4 hours)...The County Board of Supervisors held the public hearing Tuesday.

The hearing was to discuss an appeal of a decision made by the County Planning Commission. The Commission had denied a land merger, despite the majority votes in favor. Several Commissioners did not attend the meeting, and that meant the issue did not receive enough yes votes to pass. It was appealed to the Board of Supervisors. The Public Hearing lasted over 4 hours, before a vote was taken. The appeal was upheld on a 4-1 vote. Supervisors Martha Cardenas Singh voted against the appeal. Opponents to a controversial Data Center claim the appeal was the last hurdle the board needed to move forward in the process to approve the Data Center. The opponents filled the Board Chambers during the public hearing, while others protested outside.
