The first of three weekends of the California Mid-Winter Fair is in the books.
The gates opened Friday afternoon and provided attendees with everything you would expect at a county fair, performances, strolling entertainers, fair food all the way to the Helm and Sons carnival. With temperatures in the upper 90's on Saturday and Sunday the crowds were a bit smaller than expected. The fair will be dark on Monday and Tuesday and return Wednesday. Highlight of Wednesday is the Annual High School Madness event in fromt of the grandstands as Valley schools compete against each other in fun events highlighting school spirit.
