The Calipatria girl's varsity basketball team is heading to a championship game.

On Tuesday, the Lady Hornets dominated the number one seed Liberty Charter School 54 - 12. The win advances the Hornets to the CIF-San Diego Section Division V-AA Championship match against the San Diego Academy Cavaliers. The championship game will be played at Otay Ranch High School in Chula Vista Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
