(City of Imperial Receives a Federal Grant)...The $1.5 million grant is to help fund a new Regional Park.

The 143-acre park will be located on La Brucherie Road, South of Larson. The transformative project is expected to provide residents and visitors with expanded recreational opportunities and green space for generations to come. The Federal funding was made possible through the advocacy of Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz and US Senator Adam Schiff. The city says the funding significantly accelerates the City's timeline for developing the new regional park that will feature planned amenities such as walking trails, playgrounds, sports fields and picnic areas, creating a space that reflects the City's vision for sustainability and inclusiveness.  For more information, contact the City's Parks and Recreation Department.
