(Brawley Police are updating the February 8 Homicide)....The homicide deals with the murder of a 5 year old child.

Police say as the result of a comprehensive investigation, detectives arrested Genro Lemus of Brawley. He was arrested Friday in connection with the case. Lemus was subsequently taken into custody and booked into Imperial County Jail. His bail was set at $1 million. They say the arrest marks a significant step towards justice for the victim and their family. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be provided as they become available.
