A series of earthquakes rattled the Imperial and Mexicali Valleys Wednesday morning.

The strongest earthquake was a magnitude 4.2 and was recorded at 12:38 a.m. The epicenter was about 20 miles southeast of Calexico. A magnitude3.7 temblor was recorded about 2 minutes later with several other earthquakes in the 3.1 to 3.5 range continuing to rattle the area for several hours. All of the tumblers had the epicenter just across the border inBaja California.
