(David Gilbert Gomez sentenced to 7 years)....Gomez is a documented Shelltown gang member out of San Diego.

He was recently sentence in Federal court. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm on March 12, 2024, Gomez had entered a guilty plea to the charge previously in Federal Court. According to court documents, Imperial Police Officers were conducting a routine traffic stop when they observed two men standing near an unoccupied vehicle. Once the two men noticed the officers, both ran into a nearby residence. Inside the vehicle, the officers saw a semiautomatic firearm with an extended magazine located in the front passenger's seat. Police recovered the firearm, which was determined to be a 9 mm Glock loaded with approximately 17 rounds of ammunition. A search of the serial number on the firearm revealed it had been stolen out of Maricopa County, in Arizona. Officers also found a lighter in the vehicle with the words Choker and Shelltown on it. At the time, there was also a Be on the Lookout for David Gomez with an alias of Choker. Gomez was one of the men who ran into the residence. Gomez had 12 prior felony convictions.
