Multiple agencies responded to a pick-up truck that went into the All-American Canal.

The accident was reported at 8:18 p.m. Thursday night on Anza Road near Hammers Road, just west of Calexico. The pick-up went into the canal and was fully submerged in the deep, swift waters. The two occupants of the truck were able to escape from the sinking vehicle with minor injuries. The Imperial County Sheriff's Department Dive Team was expected to retrieve the sunken truck Friday morning. The accident remains under investigation.
