A brief police pursuit ended with a suspected stolen vehicle crashing. 

El Centro Police responded to a report of a stolen pick-up truck Tuesday night. A Chevrolet Silverado had just been stolen. Responding officers learned from the trucks owner that there was a GPS tracker in the vehicle and that real-time location updates were available. Officers were able to quickly locate the truck on 8th Street heading south. A traffic stop was attempted but the driver failed to yield and a pursuit began. That pursuit ended when the stolen truck crashed at the intersection of Dogwood and Fawcett Roads. The driver was taken into custody and the passenger, who was assisted out of a canal, was also taken into custody. Both suspects received medical attention and then were transported to Imperial County Jail.
