The Soroptimist International of El Centro will present a day of education and inspiration designed to empower girls through exposure to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM).

 STEAM Wars and Beyond: Dream It, Be It will be held Saturday, January 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Central Union High School in El Centro. Middle and high school girls from across the Imperial Valley will be attending for workshops, professional panels, interactive learning experiences, and career exploration. Participants include national and regional STEAM leaders, including NASA representatives and education, industry and community partners.
