Two people died in a Tuesday morning traffic accident in Yuma.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of South Avenue 1E and East County 15th Street at 11:27 a.m. Tuesday. Initial reports indicate a 2013 Chevy Captiva was northbound on S. Avenue 1E when the driver, 87-year-old Ginger Adell Bradford of Yuma, failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection. Her car collided with a 2005 Jeep Wrangler that was westbound on County 15th Street driven by Ronald Edward Yowell, 85, of Yuma. Both drivers, the sole occupants of the vehicles, sustained fatal injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
