( El Centro Police reminds all residents)....Illegal Fireworks are not allowed within City Limits
Fireworks that explode, fly into the air, or move erratically are strictly prohibited under the city's fireworks ordinance. They say using or allowing illegal fireworks can result in significant penalties, including fines of up to $5,000 for repeat offenders. Property owners and hosts may also be held responsible if illegal fireworks are used on or near their property. They say the rules are in place to protect public safety, prevent fires, and reduce injuries. The public is asked to celebrate responsibly and help keep the community safe as we ring in the New Year.
