Southern California may be in for a wet Christmas.

Well above normal temperatures and dry conditions will hang around the Imperial Valley through Tuesday but expect changes Tuesday night. A storm system will bring increasing rain chances as early as Tuesday evening with the highest rain chances expected Wednesday afternoon through Christmas Day. The National Weather Service  says that there is still a good deal of uncertainty regarding total rainfall amounts but a tenth to a quarter of an inch of precipitation is possible for the Imperial Valley. The clouds and rain chances will continue into the weekend. Daytime temperatures should be in the low to mid 70's and overnight lows dropping to the mid 50's.
