(Calexico City Council meets)....The meeting began with a reorganization.

Everyone was not happy with the outcome. Outgoing Mayor, Diana Nuricumbo, turned the gavel over to Victor Legaspi. In his first act as Mayor, Legaspi over-saw the vote for Mayor Pro-Tem. The vote was 3-2 to seat Lorenzo Calderon as Mayor Pro-Tem. Instead of offering congratulations, Nuricumbo and Council member Lisa Tylenda gathered up their papers and walked out of the meeting.
