(El Centro Library Director appointed)....Carla Mason has been appointed to a one-year term on the League of California Cities Community Services Policy Committee.

The appointment will run through the conclusion of the 2026 Cal Cities Annual Conference. The Committee evaluates legislation affecting cities and provides recommendations that help guide Cal Cities advocacy positions. The committee will meet 3 times in 2026. Mason joined the El Centro Library in March 2023. She brought more than a decade of experience in library operations, programming, and community partnerships.
