Imperial County Superior Court judges have gone back to the classroom.
As part of the statewide Power of Democracy program, judicial officers from Imperial County courts have visited local elementary, middle and high schools bringing real-world civics education to thousands of students. Presiding Judge Marco D. Nunez said, " These classroom visits reflect the judiciary at its best, connecting with young people, strengthening public trust, and promoting a deeper understanding of the rule of law. We are grateful for our educators, who continue to open their classrooms to the courts". Requests for participation doubled compared to last year.
