(Organizers very pleased with Cattle Call Turn-out)....There is no way to count attendance at most Cattle Call events.

Officials, however, say crowds at all events were very large. That was especially evident at the 69th Annual Parade Saturday. People were lined along Main Street almost the entire Parade Route. The Imperial Valley Housing Authority float was awarded the Sweepstakes Trophy. The Parade honored Xen and Shirley Jones as Grand Marshals of the parade. The honor recognized their decades of service, dedication, and love for the Imperial Valley Community. As lifelong residents, the couple met at Imperial Valley College and have been married for 61 years.
