(Cody's Closet hosting a major event)....It is their 5th annual bed event.

It is for children in Imperial Valley who do not have a bed to sleep in. The event takes place this Saturday. The children invited to the event are referred by social services, law enforcement and school officials for not having a bed at home. Experts say studies show that children are more likely to succeed in school when they are given the proper tools. One of those tools is a bed to sleep in at home. Not only a bed, but the children will be given several other incidentals. The children will be chaperoned by law enforcement, school personnel and other trusted adults. To eliminate pressure on the children, parents are not allowed at the event.
